Art, Drama & Music
The Arts are a big part of life here at St Bernard’s College. With an annual junior production, a bi-annual musical, senior dramatic productions and art exhibitions, instrumental tuition and numerous music ensembles, art activities at lunchtimes, participation in festivals (Sheilla Winn, Big Sing, Smokefree Rockquest, Smokefree Bandquest) and Arts tours, we are a busy but dedicated group of staff and departments.
In Years 7-10 Arts classes, students can experience a range of activities typical of each subject area (Art, Drama, Dance, Music). There is drawing, painting, sculpture, mask making, digital art, movement, dramatic performance, script devising and writing, instruments to play, music to arrange, compose and listen to and more! This endless variety of opportunities sets students up for senior subject areas which become more and more tailored to student’s interests and abilities as they move through the school.
