Enrolment at St Bernard’s
St Bernard’s College does not take early enrolments.
For 2026 we are moving to an online enrolment process.
Please follow the instructions below.
As the College is full, the Board approved a policy for the enrolment of students. It is critical that applications are received by the enrolment due date. Late enrolments cannot be considered until all of the compliant enrolments have been processed.
As part of the enrolment process parents are required to agree to the following policies. Please read these policies before completing the online enrolment.
Preference
The College, in its integration agreement with the government, has two categories of enrolment: preference and non-preference.
Preference enrolment is given to those students whose parents have established a particular religious connection with the special character of the school. The preference certificate necessary to establish this connection must be signed by a Catholic Priest of the parishes that the College serves or by the appropriate Catholic Priest.
A non-preference enrolment may be granted to those who cannot produce such a statement. The College is limited to 5% of its maximum roll for non-preference students. Non-preference places are usually allocated to those parents who want a Catholic education for their sons.
Click below to download the preference form that will need to be signed and uploaded as part of the online enrolment process as outlined below.
Attendance Dues
There are compulsory attendance dues for all students who attend a Catholic school. These charges are set by the Archdiocese of Wellington (ADW). Accounts are sent directly from the ADW office and are only payable to them. These charges are per year $572 for Year 7 and 8 and $1147 for students in Years 9 to 13.

Online Enrolment
As part of the online enrolment you will need to submit digital copies of proof of identification (eg birth certificate, passport) and residency (if applicable) (eg visa documents).
Please complete the online enrolment form (as you cannot save as you go – all data must be entered in one session) at the following link.
